The Freedom Award wil be presented to Ms. Pat Powell. Pat is a lifelong resident of Canton and Marine Veteran. She currently serves as President of the Sharon Lane Memorial Chapter of Vietnam Veterans of America and was the Stark County Veteran of the Year – 2010. We are recognizing her service to our country, coummunity, veterans and surviving military families.
The keynote speaker for the evening is speaker and author, Dr. Donald Lichi. Dr. Lichi is a psychologist at EMERGE Ministries, a Christian Mental Health Center in Akron, OH. Dr. Lichi is also a conference speaker, has served on the National Board of Directors for the Christian and Missionary Alliance, and is co-author of Broken Windows of the Soul. From 2001-2006 he was president and director of advancement at Chapel Hill Christian School. He will be sharing a patriotic message of the importance of remembering.
This year we will be hosting an online auction from October 24, 2011 – November 14, 2011 as well as the silent auction at the event. Details of auctions are forthcoming.
