The concert was on Saturday , June 23, 2007 and the memorial dedication was on the following Saturday June 30, 2007. The concert was a great time.  We had the opportunity to meet other gold star families from Ohio and we also had the opportunity to meet Ohio State coach Jim Trussel.  Heath’s grandparents , Jim and Ida Warner, attended the memorial dedication on be half of the family.  To learn more about the memorial and Ohio Fallen Heroes visit www.ohiofallenheroes.org.

On Saturday. June 2, 2007, the family of Brad Squires dedicated the memorial plaza to the fallen heroes from Ohio from Operation Iraqi Freedom.  The memorial plaza is a beautiful tribute to the memory Heath and to all the brave men and women from our state.  Please visit www.bradsquires.net to learn more.

Dropped by the live radio broadcast of Quinn and Rose who are from Pittsburgh in order to give them  a photo of Heath.  We had not met previously but we had emailed with them since Heath’s death. Rose did a special  tribute to Heath and we wanted to thank them for honoring our son.  Scott ended up on the air and was able to speak out on behalf of our troops and the sacrifices our men and women make on our behalf each and every day for our  freedom.  It was a great opportunity to share our story and  at the same time support our troops.
