A time of reflection, a ceremony of honor for all 23 member of Hawaii’s finest from the Marines at Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii was held on Thursday, April 18, 2007.  The ceremony included a final role call, command comments and honoring the fallen with boots, rifle, helmet with dog tags of each fallen hero.  A braided strand of seaweed, a Hawaiian tradition, was placed in front of the boots by a native Hawaiian.  The gathering was an emotional time for fellow Marines, family and friends.
