The start and finish will be at the McKinley Monument located at the William McKinley Presidential Libary and Museum,800 Mckinley Monument Dr NW, Canton, OH 44708 . The race route will run through the City of Canton Parks System.
About This Event
The Pvt. Heath D. Warner 5k Memorial Run and Family Fun Walk is being founded by the Scott N. Warner family in honor of their son, Pvt. Heath Warner. Pvt. Warner was killed on 11/22/2006 by an IED explosion in the Al Anbar Province of Iraq. This annual 5K event will focus on the community spirit in remembering all the fallen heroes who gave their all for freedom. The Pvt. Heath D. Warner 5K Run and Family Fun Walk is part of the official city of Canton Memorial Day Events. The run and walk will be on the parade route and will be followed by the parade and Memorial Observance at McKinley Monument. To learn more about Pvt. Warner visit www.pvtheathwarner.com.

Team Competitions
Awards: All preregistered runners will receive T-shirts on race day. All race day registrants will receive T-shirts first come, first served as supply allows. Prizes will be provided to 1)Top Military Finisher 2)Top Three Overall Male and Female Finishers 3)Age Group Awards for Male and Females for the following age groups 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49,50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & over and overall, top three male and female walkers will also receive awards.

Convenient parking is located at Trinity Gospel Temple, 1612 Tuscarawas St W, Canton, OH 44708 or along side street parking were permitted within the city.
Where Will The Race Proceeds Go?
All net proceeds will go to the S. N. Warner Family Association. Our goal is to establish a lasting legacy of helping our community as Heath would have done.
Other Relevant Information
Refreshments will be provided following race before the Awards Ceremony for all registered event participants as courtesy of the race. Please stay after race for the Memorial Day Parade and official Memorial Observance.
